RV-6/7/9 Aileron pushrod boots
+ More Pictures +
These small boots seal off the flow of air coming in through the fuselage side at the wing root. They are made of a very light weight material. This material meets FAA certifications for flammibility, it is very durable, flexible, and air tight. The boots have no noticeable affect on stick movement.

Installation is very straight forward. The first step is to install the flange piece. This requires compressing the flange by hand, and fitting it into the groove formed by the lightening hole. Once the flange is expanded in place, the ends are connected with two pop rivets.

Once the flange is in place, the boot is attached. A seperating zipper allows the boot to be opened up and reclosed around the aileron pushrod. Zip ties secure each end, and 1/16" foam tape creates a completely air tight seal. This arangement allows the boots to be installed in just a few minutes. removal is even easier. Just clip the zip ties, and unzip the zipper.

Note: the price listed is for two boot assemblies along with everything required for installation.
