The Sportsman Ultralight seat is basically a standard Sportsman seat that has been modified to reduce weight. Some of the parts have been reduced in size, or eliminated.
This seat was designed for customers who are looking to reduce every last ounce possible. The Sportsman UL accomplishes this while sacrificing very little in comfort and appearance.
Please note that material choices affect the total weight of seat cushions. Ask for more details about this when ordering and we will explain the differences.
Sportsman Ultra Light seats include a 1/2 inch layer of visco elastic foam in the cushion bottom (rather than 1" that is used in the standard Sportsman seat), and like all of our seat cushions, the foam components used in Sportsman Ultra Light seats are fabricated with contoured shapes rather than multiple square blocks. This fabrication method more closely matches the shape of the human body, and enhances seating comfort.
Our Sportsman Ultra Light seats feature an adjustable lumbar support. By removing the backrest cushion from the seat pan you have easy access to adjust location of the lumbar pad. Simply Velcro the lumbar wedge into position and secure the backrest in place.
You may personalize your seats with your choice of Ultraleather or cloth colors, insert pleat designs, and optional embroidery.
The Ultralight seats could be made with leather upholstery, but because the main idea of these seats is to be absolutely as light as possible, we list prices for cloth and Ultraleather only (both are nearly the same weight).
Cloth - $993 (9.6 lbs. per pair + 5.4 lbs. for the stock seat frames)
Our cloth seats are available in a variety of colors and patterns. These materials are easily cleaned with standard upholstery cleaners. They are breathable and very durable.

Ultraleather - $1085 (9.0 - 10.4 lbs. per pair + 5.4 lbs. for the stock seat frames)
Ultraleather is a synthetic material designed to have the feel of natural leather. Like vinyl it is constructed with a cloth backing for durability, however it features a Urethane face that gives it a very soft and pleasant feel. Another advantage of Ultraleather is that it weighs less than natural leather. Note: Ultraleather colors are different from our natural leather colors.
Our Ultraleather is treated and tested to comply with FAR 25.853 (a) Appendix F Part 1 (a)(1)(ii)
