Our Sierra side panels give customers a lower cost option compared to the Sportsman II, but with the same high quality of workmanship and materials. The simpler design lacks some of the features of the higher end panels, but still provides the appearance and attention to detail that customers expect.
The larger components are not simply pieces of cloth sewn to thin open cell foam and cut to the approximate size. They are finished ready to install panels. All visible edges are finished. No cut material edges are visible.

Installation
The simplicity of the design makes the side panels easy to install. almost all pieces are ready to install right out of the box. Only a few small pieces need some minimal trimming to fit. The large side pieces are easily attached with hook and loop, and hold very securely due to their light weight. The arm rest pad attaches with built in threaded studs and light weight plastic nuts.
Gear Cover
For "A" model RVs the side panels include a cover for the landing gear weldments. These are actually the same covers that are used with our Sportsman II side panels. The structure is molded plastic and aluminum parts covered in carpet to match the floor carpet. All parts are formed and cut with CNC equipment for a precise fit that only takes a few minutes to install. Since the covers mount using existing screws, the only tool needed is a philips screw driver. The mounting tabs can be covered by our seating area carpet or smaller spar carpet piece.
Note: Floor and seating area carpets are sold seperately. Only the carpeted gear cover is included with the side panel package.

Pockets
Pockets are optional. The forward pocket is perfect for small items like a cell phone, wallet, keys, or snacks. Storage in the rear pocket is somewhat limited by the rudder cable that runs right past it. Thin or flat items are no problem though.
Color Selection
The side panels can be made using any of our stock materials (cloth, synthetic leather, or natural leather). There are several ways the colors can be laid out. Material types can also be mixed (example: synthetic leather with cloth for the pleated area). The diagrams below show the areas that the side panels are divided into.
